- Identify three (3) behaviors/situations that constitute “crisis” for youth.
- Describe three (3) specific obstacles to parental engagement, and
strategies for addressing those obstacles. - List four (4) support resources in their community or online to continue
developing competency with youth in crisis.

About the Speaker
Dr. Cate Jones-Hazledine
Dr. Cate Jones-Hazledine is a clinical psychologist from Rushville, Nebraska who returned home 17 years ago to provide services in some of the most rural areas of the state. She currently owns Western Nebraska Behavioral Health Clinics, with eight different service sites in the Panhandle and Sandhills. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jones-Hazledine is actively involved in training new providers and mentoring young people exploring careers in behavioral health. She is the co-director of Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN) Panhandle and Adjunct Faculty with Chadron State College (CSC) and the Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI).
